Something my husband and I placed on our refrigerator. Heehee. From 1 Corinthians 10:31. We wanted to put the whole verse but there weren’t enough letters in the box. :(

Two days after our wedding day, we toured our Indonesian friends (who came over just for our wedding!) to Corregidor. Kind of late, but I just wanted to share my favorite photo! We didn’t want to wear matching colors (we hate matching!) but I really wanted to wear my yellow shirt that day and he really wanted to wear his yellow polo shirt that day as well so… no compromise! Haha!
Can’t believe I’ve been a wife for a month already. My friends keep telling me it’s so hard to believe, and I must admit, sometimes, I find it hard to believe as well! But whenever people ask me how it has been so far, the first thing I blurt out is “it’s been so much fun!” and by God’s grace, that’s really how I feel (after all, the Bible does say that “…from the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks!”)
You might say, it’s only been a month so of course it’s been fun, but if you only knew! Haha! Nothing is perfect and we encounter (and continue to encounter) different challenges each day, but it’s such a comfort to know that at the end of it all, though we are fighting battles, we are fighting them together. We are on the same team and we report only to One, and that’s Jesus. :)
If I could leave all you beautiful girls with only one piece of (love) advice, it would be this; to let Him write your love story. Let Him write it without you manipulating the situation, without you hanging on to a past love, without you refusing and disobeying. When He says let go, let go. When He says wait, just wait. I know letting go is hard (especially for all you romantics, like me!) and I know waiting is even harder (especially for all you impatient girls, like me too!) but I promise you, truly, if God asks you to wait, He will make sure the wait will be worth it.
Trust me, you want a man who’s fighting battles not only for you but also for God. You want someone on the right side… on God’s side. Because we know when the King of Kings is on our side, who can ever be against us? :) (Romans 8:31)

Got invited to attend a Smart-HTC press event last Friday (how I spent my 11/11/11!) and I was finally able to check out their latest phones!
I’ve been hearing lots of buzz about these HTC phones lately because people have been saying that it has more features than the iPhone. So imagine my excitement when I received an invite to attend the press event. Haha! Finally, I was able to check it out myself and I have to say, it’s pretty awesome!
The HTC screens are big! Plus, it’s really really thin and light! But the thing I was most impressed about is how responsive its touchscreen was! I’m one of those people who complain that only Apple can make really awesome touchscreens (the Blackberry touchscreens are horrible, ask my fiancé) but clearly, that’s not true anymore! Good job, HTC! Learn more about the phones here.
On a totally useless and unrelated note: my hair isn’t that brown… the flash made my hair look two-toney weird. Haha! Oh, and I really like our photos! Yay! Thank you Smart/HTC & Connect Agencie.

My birthday gift to myself: The Bible Experience!
The Bible Experience is one of my absolute favorites and I always recommend this to everyone I meet. It is SO MUCH MORE than your average audiobook; it’s complete with sound effects, wonderful background music and awesome acting! In fact, acting is so awesome, they have a lot of famous celebrities on board, like Denzel Washington, Samuel L Jackson, Nick Cannon, Faith Evans, and so much more!
Anyway, I found out about this years ago when I heard a sample online. I loved it so much I downloaded it. BUT THAT’S ILLEGAL AND I GOT SO CONVICTED! (DON’T DO IT!) Haha! So I stopped using it because of guilt and eventually, I missed it and decided I really wanted it so I saved up for it! Then just the other day, I was finally able to purchase my own original copy of the cd’s and I’m guilty no more! Haha!
All kidding aside, I am so happy I finally have it and now I’m so excited I’m transferring all the cd’s on my iPod! Yay! One perk for having the original is they have the Bible text inluded so you can read along as you listen! AWESOME! I highly highly recommend this to all of you. Helped me so much finish the Old Testament. The battle scenes are so much fun to listen! It’s P3900 for the complete Bible (I promise you, it’s worth it!) and you can grab it at any OMF Lit Bookshop branches nationwide!
Hear some samples or learn more about The Bible Experience here!

On Photos & Cameras

sheenalovestotravel:

Been getting a lot of questions as to what camera I use. To answer simply, from 2009 up to the present (April 2011!) I’ve been using my Nikon D60 with an 18-55mm (kit) lens! All photos before that were taken using point-and-shoots only! Yup, including the Europe trip photos!

Haven’t upgraded my body or lens since then, not because I don’t want to but because it’s just hasn’t been a priority on my budget list (clue: the trips are high up on that list) Also, Asher has been serving me well so far! That being said, I’d still love to upgrade soon though to one of those DSLR’s with video.

Important note: Although I personally use my D60 for all my shots, not all photos here on this blog are from that camera! This is because my parents use a Canon point and shoot, my fiancee uses a Lumix, and a lot of my other friends use various cameras and the photos I post here are a mix of all of our shots! Why do they all look sort-of the same, you ask? I post-process them all!

So yes, to answer another question, I post-process my pictures to make the colors pop out more! I know some people brag about not post-processing their photos, and well, that’s them. Post-processing is one of my favorite parts and one of my favorite thing to do! Not ashamed to say it! :)

Reblogging this from my travel blog because I got around 5 questions last week asking about this in my Tumblr Ask inbox. :)

Back from my Vegas and LA trip and I’m tired but so happy! Arranging some of our photos so that I can start posting soon. If you’re a fan of any of the following: The Beatles, The Simpsons and/or Harry Potter (to name a few!) you might wanna wait for the next few entries on my travel blog!
Because I was gone for 2 weeks, I missed X-men, Kung Fu Panda and Pirates at the theaters (sadface) But I surely won’t miss Cars 2 and Harry Potter! And speaking of Harry Potter, guess where this photo was taken! (Clue: obviously, not at the new HP theme park because that’s in Orlando! How I wish though!) Answer in one of my future entries! Geekery!

Today I leave for Vegas! I am ready to meet you, Sir Paul McCartney!
I’ll most probably have internet connection so I might be able to update and tweet and share some photos while I’m there! This also means more entries soon on my travel blog! Yaaaay!
Speaking of my travel blog, check out this Batanes Teaser. If you remember my previous posts, something special happened in Batanes! ;)
